Accommodation

Looking for a place to live?

Come and visit us at the Student Union Office, located in the student centre, for a list of accommodation options. We also have, in CIT, an “Accommodations Office”, which is led by Deirdre Falvey and dedicated to providing both options for accommodation and advice on tenancy issues. These include your legal rights and obligations as a tenant and information on the standards of living areas that you should expect. My own personal tip would be to keep a “Rent Book”. This little gem of information has got me through a few sticky rent issues myself in the past! In this book, you record all your rent payments, i.e. the amount paid and the date it was paid. By asking your landlord/lady to sign this each time you pay rent, you can avoid any problems that may arise in the future regarding rent. Rent books are also really useful when you are trying to create a monthly budget for your expenditure. It may sound a little nerdy, but trust me; it is MORE than worth doing.
