There's a guy in my class and he is really freaking me out. He follows me from class to class. He sends me emails and always tries to sit next to me in class. I don't fancy him, what should I do?

Answer
It sounds like this lad honestly has a crush on you. Unfotunatly some people have a funny way of expressing these things and I think he just likes being around you. He may just be looking for opportunities to talk to you in the hope that you might return his interest.
You have said that you don't fancy him though so you have to make your feelings clear to him. This will spare both his feelings and yours. Ask a friend to wait for you and then ask this boy can you speak to him.
By asking your friend to wait, you are being safe and you also have an excuse to keep the conversation short but sweet. ("Listen, I have to go there cause my friend is waiting!")
Tell him that you are very flattered by his attention but that you don't feel the same way. Say that, for this reason, his attention is making you a uncomfortable. You are classmates, so you don't want things to be awkward between you but that you see him as merely a classmate and nothing more.
Be very clear and concise in what you say. You have to make sure that you don't leave him with any doubts about what you say. "I think you are a nice guy, but I don't have any feelings towards you in THAT way!"
Thank him for listening to you and leave.
If he continues with this unwanted attention, speak immedietly with your year head or course co-ordinator.
You can also call into the Welfare officer in the Students Union and speak with them about it.
